Diplomatic Guests at Agripark Valentina
A visit from members of the diplomatic corps is always a special and joyful event for us!
At Agripark Valentina, we believe that our almond farm is more than just a place of cultivation — it’s a unique space where people come together, share ideas, and build lasting connections. Surrounded by nature and the beauty of the orchard, every meeting turns into a heartfelt exchange.
We’re always honored to welcome guests who value openness, dialogue, and the charm of rural hospitality. June 17, 2025
Meet Our New Baby at the Farm
We have a new guardian at Agripark Valentina — a white puppy!
He may be small now, but he’s already winning hearts and getting ready for his future role as protector of the farm. For now, he’s just enjoying his naps, soaking up the sun, and gathering strength to grow into a strong and loyal companion. June 7, 2025
A Visit from a Dear Guest from Armenia

Volunteers from California and Siberia have joined us
Adam, from the United States, and Sasha, from Russia, met here in Georgia and chose to spend the year exploring its nature, cuisine, and ecotourism. Adam has four years of farming experience in Hawaii, while Sasha works online — together they bring a great mix of skills and energy to the farm.
Since October, they’ve been living in Georgia, hiking in the Caucasus, and even caring for stray dogs in the area. We’re excited to have them as part of our volunteer team and grateful for their dedication.

Active Growth Begins at Agripark Valentina
The almond trees have left their blossoms behind — now begins the season of quiet, steady growth. With the flowering phase complete, our orchards have entered a new stage: active vegetation.
This is the time when every leaf, every branch is working to build the future harvest. The trees are now developing fruit, and we focus on careful irrigation, pest control, and nutrient support to help them thrive.

Spring Challenges and Smart Farming Solutions at Agripark Valentina
This spring brought unpredictable weather to Georgia—fluctuating temperatures, unexpected frosts, and shifting winds posed serious risks to early crop development.
At Agripark Valentina, protecting the almond harvest is a top priority, so we’ve turned to time-tested methods that still prove effective today. One of them is controlled hay smoke.
Why does it work? When burned in a controlled way, hay produces thick smoke that creates a protective layer over the orchard. This barrier helps slow down the drop in temperature near the trees and shields the buds from sudden frost damage during critical early growth stages.
It's a simple but powerful way to guard delicate young buds during a volatile spring—just one of the ways we combine tradition and agricultural science to secure the future harvest.

Meet Kate – Our Volunteer from New Zealand
Meet Kate from New Zealand, one of the amazing volunteers currently staying at Agripark Valentina!
Originally from New Zealand, she now lives in England, just an hour from London. With her kids spread out across London, Canada, and New Zealand, she decided it was time to travel—and volunteering was her way to start the journey.
Kate came to Agripark Valentina from England, where she lives in a house just an hour outside of London. Originally from New Zealand, she decided to take time to travel and visit her children, who are now spread across London, Canada, and New Zealand. Georgia became the first stop on her journey across Central Asia.
This is Kate’s first experience as a volunteer. She admits she was unsure if anyone would welcome “an older woman” to work on a farm—but she’s been pleasantly surprised by how open and supportive the farming community has been.
Kate is staying with us for six weeks and already started planting a small vegetable garden, hoping to return one day and see it full of ripe fruits shared by everyone at the farm. She has also fallen in love with Georgia’s natural beauty and hospitality.
“The first time the clouds lifted and I saw the snowy mountains in the distance, I swooned!”, she shared with a smile.
Kate, thank you for your energy, kindness, and curiosity—we hope to see you again soon! April 18, 2025
The best time of the year
Our almond orchards have transformed into a sea of delicate blossoms. These pink-white flowers aren't just beautiful - they're nature's promise of the delicious almonds to come.
Every petal you see represents months of careful preparation by our team. From pruning to pollination, we nurture each tree to ensure a bountiful harvest. April 11, 2025
Buzzing Partners in Almond Pollination
While almonds are partially self-pollinating, pollinators like honeybees (Apis mellifera) and bumblebees (Bombus spp.) play a crucial role in boosting yields.
Did you know?
A single hive can visit up to 2 million flowers per day during peak bloom.
Bumblebees are especially efficient in cooler weather, making them valuable allies in early spring.
Proper pollinator management is key—healthy bees mean better cross-pollination and higher-quality almonds.
