Agriculturalist (Almond Orchard focussed – Senior & Junior)
Our Agriculturalist team will be responsible for overseeing the cultivation and harvesting of the almonds. We are looking for individuals who have experience in working in the field, and who are competent at both the strategic and hands-on elements the role entails.
Our Senior Agriculturalist will also require knowledge and expertise in crops outside of almonds specifically.
Responsibilities
– Almond care; soil preparation, planting (alongside our specialist partners NogalTec), and ongoing nurturing of the crops
– Ongoing monitoring and maintenance of trees (pests and disease control)
– Irrigation
– Harvesting
– Maintaining equipment and facilities
– Preparing budgets (along with the Finance dept.), cost estimates, and keeping records of almond activities
Finance & Accounting Manager
A key function within the business activities of the Park, we are looking for a numerate and analytical individual with a proven track record who will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of the business.
Responsibilities
– Managing the Group Companies financial activities
– Developing and implementing financial policies, procedures and frameworks for decision making
– Monitoring and analysing financial performance on an ongoing basis
– Preparing financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) and presenting to management
– Overseeing the Park’s payroll and human resources function
– Maintaining financial reporting and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
– Cross-company collaboration across the business to ensure holistic approach to financial strategy
Energy Consultant
We are looking for an experienced Energy Consultant to identify and implement energy saving measures and renewable energy technologies to support Agripark Valentina in its operations. We are keen to explore the use of solar, hydro and wind generation as well as devising the most efficient strategies for using power from the national grid.
Responsibilities
– Conducting energy audits to identify opportunities for improvements in energy efficiency
– To recommend and implement energy efficient technologies such as auto-irrigation systems
– Assessing the feasibility of renewable energy technologies
– Assisting with the development and implementation of Energy Management Plans
– Monitoring energy usage / performance
– And performing analysis to identify trends and efficiencies
