Agripark Valentina History of development

Growth Highlights of Our Almond Trees

At Agripark Valentina, every season brings exciting progress for our almond orchards. Over the past year, our trees have grown an impressive 25–35 cm on average. This steady development is a testament to the care and dedication we put into nurturing them. Beyond their height, our almond trees undergo significant changes as they mature.
  • Stronger roots: Each year, they grow deeper, making the trees more resilient to environmental challenges.
  • Expanding branches: New shoots form, shaping the canopy and setting the stage for future harvests.
  • Thicker bark: Natural protection develops, ensuring the trees’ long-term health.
These changes are not just about growth — they reflect the promise of an even more abundant harvest in the years to come. At Agripark Valentina, we’re proud to cultivate not only almonds but a sustainable future for our orchards. November 29, 2024

The Almond Drying Process

The almond drying process is all about precision and care . After harvest, we spread the almonds out under the sun, where they dry until their moisture content reaches around 6%. If it rains, we cover them with protective tarps to keep them dry. Once the nuts are ready, we carefully store them in bags on racks to ensure proper air circulation and prevent any moisture buildup. This method guarantees top-quality almonds with optimal taste and texture. September 27, 2024

Key Stages of the Almond Harvest at Agripark Valentina

The almond harvest is now in full swing at Agripark Valentina. This process is carefully managed to ensure the highest quality almonds, with four key stages:
  1. Shaking the Trees The first step involves shaking the almond trees to release the nuts. Proper timing is essential to maximize the yield and ensure that the almonds are at their peak.
  2. Collecting the Almonds Once the almonds fall, they are collected with care to avoid any damage. This stage requires precision to maintain the integrity of the crop.
  3. Drying the Almonds After collection, the almonds are dried to reduce moisture content. This step is critical for preparing them for long-term storage and preserving their quality.
  4. Storage Finally, the almonds are safely stored under optimal conditions until they are ready for sale or further processing. Proper storage is vital for maintaining freshness and quality over time.
