Meet Kate from New Zealand, one of the amazing volunteers currently staying at Agripark Valentina!
Originally from New Zealand, she now lives in England, just an hour from London. With her kids spread out across London, Canada, and New Zealand, she decided it was time to travel—and volunteering was her way to start the journey.
Kate came to Agripark Valentina from England, where she lives in a house just an hour outside of London. Originally from New Zealand, she decided to take time to travel and visit her children, who are now spread across London, Canada, and New Zealand. Georgia became the first stop on her journey across Central Asia.
This is Kate’s first experience as a volunteer. She admits she was unsure if anyone would welcome “an older woman” to work on a farm—but she’s been pleasantly surprised by how open and supportive the farming community has been.
Kate is staying with us for six weeks and already started planting a small vegetable garden, hoping to return one day and see it full of ripe fruits shared by everyone at the farm. She has also fallen in love with Georgia’s natural beauty and hospitality.
“The first time the clouds lifted and I saw the snowy mountains in the distance, I swooned!”, she shared with a smile.
Kate, thank you for your energy, kindness, and curiosity—we hope to see you again soon! April 18, 2025
